Why an educational content At nursery school, it is important to remember that "without being exclusive, the game is fundamental" (the nursery school, Ministère de l'Education Nationale). Children must therefore have time to seek and discover at their own pace, alone or in groups. However, they will have to think about the situations they encounter, reason, decide, learn to think. The teacher's role is to monitor the children's progress and to structure their evolution by listening to them. For example, a child showing an interest in the operation of devices or machines will be encouraged to continue its discoveries in the reading of a documentary, or at a technology workshop.
As in France, the course of a session is relatively structured. Children participate in workshops on the chosen theme, but also in visual arts and mathematics workshops. The subjects are selected on the one hand by the children's interests and on the other hand by the directives of the French Ministry of Education.
